In-Home Birth Prep

Are you based in Rotterdam or within about 25 km and

looking for tailored birth prep that’s all about you?

You’ve come to the right place.

Evi Gulich zit op de grond bij een koppel om Birth Prep te geven en houdt een babypop in haar handen om iets voor te doen, iedereen lacht

so, you're pregnant -

and everyone experiences that in their own way.
Are you calm but curious, or do you tend to dive into all the information and sometimes feel overwhelmed by it? Or maybe you feel a lot, but find it hard to talk about it in a group or with your midwife.
Then the individual Birth Prep at home might just be for you.

Because honestly, where do you feel more comfortable than in your own home?
Exactly — nowhere. Everything's better at home!

The Birth Prep consists of three parts:

  1. An introductory video call, where we create a roadmap together.

  2. A tailor-made 2.5-hour session — in your home.

  3. A follow-up video call — to fine-tune and round things off.

The roadmap. During the introductory video call, we’ll create your personal roadmap: what you’d like to dive deeper into, and what you might already know. The list below can help, but the Birth Prep is yours — so shape it any way you like.

Possible topics to dive into + What happens in a birthing body? Physiology & anatomy + Techniques for relaxation and pain relief + Navigating fears, worries, or past experiences + The birth plan: your compass, a guide for your care team + Expectations and boundaries – and how to communicate them + When things don’t go as planned + Bonding — how to nurture it during pregnancy and after birth + Life after birth: expectations as a parent and as a partner

The follow-up is a 45-minute video call, usually about two to four weeks after the home session.
For example to fine-tune your birthplan or as a moment to check in — what has stayed with you, what feels different, and what would you like to focus on as you move toward giving birth?

Who it’s for
For anyone who likes to set their own direction — choosing what to dive into, what to skip, and how deep to go. For example:

  • if you’ve given birth before but wish for a different experience this time — and want to prepare for that;

  • if there are specific topics or scenario's that bring up fear or doubt;

  • if you’d like to look together at (the outline of) your birth plan;

  • or if you’ve already read all the books and listened to every podcast — and somehow ended up with even more questions.

Who it might not be for

If you’re looking for a standard package, or for someone to tell you exactly how and what to do — I’m probably not the right match for you.

If you have absolutely no idea what to expect during birth, I recommend dabbling in some basics first — online, through books, podcasts, or perhaps a prenatal yoga course. That way, you will know what  you’d like to focus on and you’ll get so much more out of the Birth Prep for yourself.

Good to know:
I won’t be coming along to your appointments or birth, and I don’t give medical advice.
